VirtualIChing MING ("the Application") is published by jcdweb Montréal. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we use it.

Data Collected

Email address — stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and hashed (SHA-256). Used solely for OTP authentication and essential service communications.
IP address — irreversibly hashed for language detection and security. Never stored in plain text.
Consultation data — hexagram number, draw mode, credit history. Associated with your account anonymously.
Session cookies — strictly necessary for authentication. No tracking or advertising cookies.

Protection against abuse and fraud

Data Sharing

Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. No third-party advertising services are used. MING AI consultations are processed by Anthropic, an American company dedicated to ethical artificial intelligence. Only your question and reading data are transmitted — never your email or any personal information. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models and deletes it within 30 days.

Security

All sensitive data is encrypted (AES-256-GCM). Emails are irreversibly hashed. Communications are protected by HTTPS/TLS. No passwords are used — authentication is done via single-use OTP codes.

Data Retention

Your account and data are retained as long as your account is active. Inactive accounts with no activity are deleted after 90 days. You may request account deletion at any time.

Your Rights

Under GDPR (Europe) and Law 25 (Quebec), you have the right to access, rectify, delete, or request portability of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us.
